The 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz WiFi Bridge extends the WiFi coverage of the base stations. The WiFi Bridge enables operators not only to extend the coverage, but also significantly increases the number of simultaneous data subscribers connected.
 
Before the introduction of the WiFi Bridge it was possible to connect up to 64 clients simultaneously on each base station. However, by integrating WiFi Bridges into the Wireless IP Network the number of clients connected simultaneously increases to several hundred, as multiple WiFi Bridges can be connected to each base station.
 
In short the WiFi Bridge gives the network operators the opportunities to:
· Deploy public WiFi hotspot areas (e.g. camps, shopping centers, airports and stadiums)
· Deploy Internet to small and medium sized companies and businesses
· Extend the coverage with up to 2 km from the base station, to offer public wireless broadband  data services
 
As all other Wireless IP Network equipment from RTX Network Systems the new WiFi Bridge is centrally managed and configured, which makes it easy for the operator to monitor the network and thereby ensure a high quality solution for its clients.
