RTX best product award
Due to the low end-user costs and due to the advanced technology
RTX customer, Russian based Morion Inc., has received a diploma for "Best Product at the Sviaz Expocomm 2003 Exhibition" under the nomination of data-transmission systems. This award was granted by the magazine "Technologies and Means of Telecommunications".
The product is a GSM/GPRS car-alarm, which can also be used as a security system for apartments and navigation and an alarm system to locate stolen cars. The product measures only 105 * 75 * 30 mm and is of smart design.
Car-alarm
If your car is stolen, you will be able to track it using GPS to establish its location and the GSM network to transmit car position data to an alarm center or directly to a mobile phone. The alarm can communicate in a variety of ways - GPRS, SMS, Voice and data-transfer - which makes it very versatile.
House alarm
The house alarm is almost identical; the only difference is that there is no need for GPS. This is not a new product invention, but the reason why Morion received this award was due to the low end-user costs and due to the advanced technology used in this flexible terminal. As mentioned before, these products are very versatile and future uses might include keeping track of your mother-in-law to see when she is close to your house, or you could use it to protect your golf-equipment … the possibilities are endless.
Data modem
Data modem is the third device made by RTX Telecom for Morion Inc. It is a GSM/GPRS module with USB connection to PC or notebook. The modem can be used for wireless internet and other similar applications.
