RTX VIP Seminar 2009

RTX Technology threw a successful VIP seminar during the CeBIT fair. A long line of industry colleagues joined to discuss this year’s theme: trends in broadband services and Home Networking – Opportunities and challenges within In-Home wireless connectivity.

The second RTX VIP Seminar was successfully conducted on March 4th 2009 in Hannover at the Parkhotel Kronsberg; the same location as last year but this year the seminar was scheduled in the afternoon. This gave attendees the opportunity to visit the CeBIT fair in the morning and join us for a networking lunch at the hotel prior to the main parts of the seminar program.
The event was a success and the participants really got a chance to discuss ideas and challenges - not only with representatives from RTX Technology but also with other colleagues from the industry.
The number of registered people for the event was in line with last year and among the list of registered people were representatives from SiTel Semiconductor, Infineon, Alcatel-Lucent, Tilgin, Ascom, NEC Philips, Datelnet, Wistron Neweb Corporation, AVM and Polycom.
The theme for this year’s seminar was “Trends in broadband services and Home Networking – Opportunities and challenges within In-Home wireless connectivity”, and here we presented our view on the key challenges and potential opportunities within integration of voice services into Gateways and IADs.
Furthermore, in order to add a market and trends perspective, we invited Alex Green from IMS Research and Arend van der Weijden from SiTel Semiconductors BV.
In conclusion, we at RTX Technology would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the seminar – your comments and ideas are highly appreciated. And we encourage all to spend a couple of hours with us and colleagues from the industry at the next RTX VIP Seminar, which we plan to conduct during CeBIT 2010.
For those who unfortunately were unable to attend this year’s seminar, you can acquire a soft copy of the presentations by contacting RTX at technology@rtx.dk.
