In the fall of 2007, RTX-T decided to start a new tradition – the RTX VIP Seminar – an event where we present new products and meet our most valued customers and partners. For many reasons, we have chosen to align the seminar date with the CeBIT fair and conduct the event at a hotel in the vicinity to the fair grounds. Hence, the first RTX VIP Seminar took place at the Park Hotel Kronsberg, Hannover, Germany on March 5, 2008. The theme for the first seminar was “Present and Future Opportunities in CAT-iq” – here we presented both an overview of CAT-iq and our view with regard to opportunities in this new technology. Furthermore, in order to add a market and trends perspective, we invited Alex Green from IMS Research and Arend van der Weijden from SiTel Semiconductors BV.
The event was a success and the participants really got a chance to discuss ideas and challenges, not only representatives from RTX-T but also with other colleagues in the industry. A total of 23 people registered for the event – including representatives from Topcom, Netgear, Vtech, Ascom, SiTel, AVM, Panasonic, Sennheiser Communications, Arcadyan and Polycom. At RTX-T, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the seminar – your comments and ideas with respect to both the seminar content and our views on the opportunities with CAT-iq are highly appreciated. For those who were unable to attend the seminar, we have good news; we have already begun planning the RTX VIP Seminar 2009 and RTX-T hopes to see you all there. Although a number of changes will be made with regard to the timing of the presentations, the seminar will most likely be scheduled in connection with CeBIT 2009 in the vicinity of the fair grounds.
