RTX Test Equipment Recommended by DECT Forum as RF Certification Equipment for CAT-iq 2.0

NOERRESUNDBY, February 22, 2011 – Recently, the DECT Forum announced the opening of the CAT-iq 2.0 Certification Program and presented the RTX 2011 as one of the recommended Certification Testers for CAT-iq 2.0.

The RTX2011 is a flexible test solution for testing of a wide range of different CAT-iq enabled devices. In addition to this, the RTX2011 supports RF tests of both DECT GAP and
DECT 6.0 devices. The RTX2011 is fully compatible with legacy DECT standards and can be upgraded with an optional module to support the latest CAT-iq standards.

RTX’s RF Tester can be used as a standalone solution, or it can be applied in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) setups in small to large scale production; thereby, adding flexibility and high performance at a competitive price.

The RTX2011 is the only commercially available CAT-iq RF Tester for certification measurements, R&D, and production purposes. It was introduced to the market in late 2008 and has been accepted by most of the major brands and providers of CAT-iq equipment manufacturing today.

“RTX’s RF Testers are highly regarded within the industry, having a large global customer base and a solid reputation. Thus, the RTX2011 CAT-iq 2.0 RF Tester was a logical choice for our certification program”, says Daniel Hartnett, Chairman CAT-iq Working Group within the DECT Forum.

“RTX takes pride in DECT Forum’s decision to utilize the RTX2011 for RF Certification Testing of CAT-iq 2.0 products,” states Jesper Mailind, President and CEO, RTX Telecom A/S. “RTX remains fully committed to developing outstanding instrumentation and ATE solutions for the wireless industry.”
