The Wireless Telephone Line Extension Unit is mounted indoor in offices, compartment buildings etc. to provide radio connections to the Wireless IP Network. The Wireless Telephone Line Extension Unit can be connected to desktop phones, fax machines or modems. Plug the Wireless Telephone Line Extension Unit into any mains power socket and connect a standard telephone to the RJ11 socket in the Wireless Telephone Line Extension Unit. The standard telephone will then work as if it had been connected to a standard phone jack in the home and the Wireless Telephone Line Extension Unit will establish a radio connection to the system. If the standard phone used has advanced features like Caller ID, hands free function, abbreviated number storage etc., these functions will work exactly as if the phone was connected to a traditional PSTN. If a fax or a modem is connected to the Wireless Telephone Line Extension Unit the transfer speed can be 14.4 kbps (for fax) or up to 40kbps (depending on the modem, V.90/V.34). Again the same performance as when connected to the PSTN. Software updates to the Wireless Telephone Line Extension Unit can be downloaded from the Control Center without involving the user.
