The outdoor repeater can be used to extend the outdoor coverage from the IP DECT/WLAN base stations.
It is possible to have up to 5 simultaneous conversations via one IP DECT outdoor repeater. When a handset is moving around between coverage areas, it will automatically switch from cell to cell without this being noticed during the telephone call. All IP DECT repeaters must be installed within the IP DECT base stations coverage area.
The IP DECT repeater has built-in omni-directional and directional antennas (10dB gain). All IP DECT repeaters must be installed within the IP DECT/WLAN base stations coverage area, but with the built-in 10dB gain antennas in both IP DECT/WLAN base station and repeater, it is possible to establish connection at distances of up to 8km if Line of Sight (LOS) conditions exist.
This requires however that the Timing Advance feature in the repeater is used. It is possible to install two repeaters in series.
The housing is IP55 designed for outdoor installation
