About Enterprise & VoIP

The RTX business unit Enterprise & VoIP develops and supplies professional wireless IP telephony for PBX systems in the Enterprise and SME markets. In addition, Enterprise & VoIP is the leading supplier of wireless phones for Skype telephony, and is also a supplier of WPJ (Wireless PHONEJack) products that are used in connection with satellite TV set-top boxes, as well as for adding an analog phone line without new wiring.

Based on RTX' technological core competences and know-how Enterprise & VoIP focuses on development, production and marketing of professional telephony equipment such as wireless handsets, base stations and repeaters for PBX systems and VoIP solutions. The solutions are based on DECT and CAT-iq™ technology, and are targeted towards the IP telephony market. The IP telephony market is in a growth phase, as the IP based solutions replace the analogue based telephony infrastructure. The products are developed and sold on OEM/ODM basis, mainly to a number of leading global suppliers of PBX’s (telephony switchboards and systems) or as private label products for regional distributors.

In 2006, Enterprise & VoIP launched the first wireless phone for telephone calls via Skype, enabling the user to make a call with a normal handset and thus avoid a headset or a combined microphone and PC solution. The Skype phone is certified by Skype and is sold via Skype’s website as well as by a number of regional distributors.

Enterprise & VoIP handles all tasks, from idea to a final product. This includes idea generation, specification, development, supply chain, QA, marketing and sales.

The business unit has offices in Denmark and in Hong Kong, where it has a close co-operation with a number of long lasting sub-suppliers in Asia. The Group’s technical knowhow and software competences in Denmark combined with hardware development and procurement- and supply chain in Hong Kong and other Asian areas is assessed to give Enterprise & VoIP a competitive advantage.
